Thermopile Arrays

Excelitas CoolEye thermopile array modules offer arrays in various configurations on a pcb with communication interface and a 4-pin connector, providing low resolution image sensing for presence detection, energy conservation, alarm applications and non-contact temperature measurement.

Our Products

The Excelitas CoolEye family of thermopile array modules features thermopile arrays in various configurations on a pcb with communication interface and a 4-pin connector. These arrays provide low resolution image sensing, and can be used as imaging arrays for presence detection, energy conservation, alarm applications and non-contact temperature measurement.

Thermopile Lines (TPiL) and Arrays (TPiA) now extend to 32 pixels in line. All are supplied with digital SM bus output signal. 3.9mm and 5.5mm focus variants are available.

The thermopile chip is connected to an integrated multiplexing and signal conditioning circuit, E2PROM and microcontroller with an integrated ADC for signal processing and interfacing. The modules also contain integral optics – lenses for different fields of view are available. The sensor is equipped with an internal reference temperature sensor for correct target temperature determination.

CoolEYE 16×16 Array

IR_CoolEYE-TPiL-16T-L3 component

This CoolEYE TPA 16.16C 5572 L4.7 Infrared Image Sensor offers spatial resolution of 256 pixels (16×16) giving the benefits of fast response with relatively low-resolution infrared imaging. The new module includes a small IR transmissive lens and a new array sensor. A small microprocessor on the module board provides a calibrated signal and acts as the bus interface.

TPL 32C 3774 L4.7 A60 P7

Product Photo IR TPL-32C WS

The TPL 32C 3774 L4.7 A60 P7 consists of a 1×32 element thermopile chip connected to one thermopile signal processor. Each thermopile signal processor offers 32 channel ADC with digital filter and a temperature reference. The thermopile signal processors are controlled from a Microcontroller by means of SPI interface. It has a lens optic to meet the Field of View (FOV) requirements of the specific application. This module is supplied as ambient temp. compensated version and provides a calculated temperature output for each pixel.

TPL Fast Line Array

Product Photo 8 and 16 LineLineArrays_XL

This thermopile line array family suit non-contact temperature measurement applications. The modules consist of an array sensor with a multiplexed output signal which is processed into a calibrated signal by a microprocessor on the module board.

The range consists of an 8-element, 16-element and 32-element line array module. The microprocessor acts as an SMBus interface, and all modules are supplied with a connector.
